Frequently asked questions

Frequently Asked Questions

15 common questions

Planning an Event?

For families, event organizers, businesses and guests.

The experience
What makes Front Page Portraits™ different from a photo booth?
Instead of a traditional photo strip, guests are photographed and featured on the front page of their own vintage-style newspaper. Each finished keepsake is printed at the event.
Is Front Page Portraits™ a stationary photography station, or do photographers roam the event?
Front Page Portraits™ is a stationary photography experience. We set up our photography station at a designated location within your venue, where guests come to us to have their pictures taken and receive their personalized newspaper souvenirs. Our photographer remains at the station throughout the event. We do not roam the venue taking photographs. This setup creates a dedicated experience where guests can stop by, pose for their front-page photo, and take home a unique keepsake.
What do guests receive?
Each completed session includes one personalized 11 × 14-inch newspaper print. We photograph and print on-site.
What kinds of events can you attend?
We can serve weddings, birthdays, graduations, corporate celebrations, conferences, school events, festivals, fundraisers and other suitable occasions.
Pricing & printing
How much does it cost, and what is included?
Our event packages and optional services are shown on the Pricing page. Bookings include professional photography, a personalized newspaper design, on-site printing, an event operator, setup and breakdown. We confirm the total, any travel charges and any requested extras before booking.
How many newspapers can we print?
There is no preset number of completed sessions. One personalized newspaper is included with each completed session, without a separate per-print charge. Additional copies may be available depending on demand and event conditions. Additional time may be added to accommodate extra prints.
Can couples, families or groups be photographed together?
Yes. Couples, families and small groups can appear together when there is enough space to frame the photo safely. Additional copies of the same picture may be available depending on demand.
Personalization & options
Can we personalize the newspaper headline or add our logo?
Yes. Event names, dates and headlines can be personalized, and approved logos may be included when you have permission to use them. More extensive custom branding can be quoted in advance.
Before your event
When is our personalized newspaper designed?
We prepare the newspaper design with your event details before your event. Guests' photos are added during the event.
How much space and power do you need?
Our cart is approximately 4 × 2 feet, with additional room needed for the photographer, guests and queue. A safe, grounded 110–120V outlet is required.
Can the photography station be used at an outdoor event?
Yes. Our mobile kiosk cart is designed for both indoor and outdoor events, with weather-resistant protection for ordinary rain and wind when correctly set up. We coordinate a suitable location, secure power and a weather plan with the venue. In heavy rain, high winds or unsafe conditions, we may pause service or move indoors.
Is there a travel charge?
Travel is based on one-way driving distance from our Orlando service area. See the Pricing page for the travel schedule; we confirm any charge when you provide the event address.
Booking & policies
How do we reserve our event date?
Send your date, location, preferred hours and estimated guest count through the booking form. Once availability and the total quote are confirmed, a signed agreement and verified 50% deposit (or payment in full, if selected) reserve your date. The remaining balance is due as specified in the agreement.
What if our event is postponed or canceled?
Rescheduling, cancellation deadlines and any refund terms are described in the written booking agreement provided before payment. Contact us as soon as your plans change.
Will guest photos be posted online or used in advertising?
A guest photo taken for a newspaper is not automatically approved for promotional use. Any use in advertising requires separate appropriate permission, including parent or guardian authorization for children where required.
11 common questions

Manage a Venue?

For malls, resorts, hotels, attractions and venue partners.

The opportunity
What does Front Page Portraits™ offer our visitors?
An attended photography experience that turns a guest photo into the front page of a personalized 11 × 14-inch newspaper. Visitors leave with a printed souvenir, and the presentation can be tailored to an approved venue setting.
Do you offer one-day events, trials or ongoing placements?
Yes. We can discuss a single event, a short pilot, a seasonal installation or a recurring location. Dates, operating hours and property approvals would be agreed in advance.
Commercial arrangements
Does our venue book the service, or do guests pay individually?
Both formats can be discussed. Venues may book a hosted event package, or guests may purchase their own newspapers at an approved retail placement. The pricing and commercial terms are agreed for each arrangement.
Are you open to rent or revenue-sharing arrangements?
We can discuss fixed rent, revenue sharing or another mutually agreed structure. Any required sales reporting, payment schedule and commercial terms would be set out in writing.
Space & operations
How much space is required, including the guest line?
The cart footprint is about 4 × 2 feet, but the overall layout must include room for the photographer, guests and an orderly queue. We will review a site-specific plan that keeps exits, accessible routes and storefronts clear.
What electrical connection is required?
We need access to an approved grounded 110–120V power connection. We will coordinate electrical capacity, cable routing and any property-specific requirements with your team before setup.
Who operates the experience and manages the queue?
Our team provides the operating personnel agreed for the event or placement. Queue arrangements and any additional staffing needs are planned with venue management in advance.
Does your photographer move around our venue or operate from one station?
Front Page Portraits™ operates from one designated, stationary photography station. Guests visit our station for their photos and personalized newspaper souvenirs. Our photographer does not roam the venue. We coordinate the station location and guest line with venue management.
Branding & guests
Can our team approve the cart design, signage and newspaper content?
Yes. We can provide samples of the cart, signage and newspaper layout for review. Venue branding, names, logos and any advertising content would be subject to the necessary approvals.
How are guest photos and permissions handled?
Photography is intended to produce the souvenir requested by the guest. Consent requirements, any digital delivery, photo handling and promotional permissions will be addressed in the agreed operating procedures. Advertising use requires separate appropriate permission.

FRONT PAGE PORTRAITS™ · EVENT BOOKING AGREEMENT

This agreement is between Front Page Portraits™ (legal business name to be provided upon confirmation) and the customer named in the request. Prices displayed during the inquiry are estimates. The final booking quote must be confirmed in writing before payment is due.

1. Booking and payment

After Front Page Portraits™ approves the event in writing and confirms the final price, the Client may choose either (a) Pay 50% Deposit, which is the default option, or (b) Pay in Full. The required initial payment secures the entire event date only after it is successfully received and verified. The 50% deposit is credited toward the approved booking price and is a non-refundable reservation retainer if the Client cancels, except where this agreement or applicable law provides otherwise. If the Client selects the 50% deposit option, the remaining 50% is due seven (7) calendar days before the event. For bookings made seven (7) or fewer calendar days before the event, full payment is required at confirmation. Paying in full at approval leaves no scheduled balance. Submission of this request alone does not reserve a date.

1A. Remaining balance and payment arrangements

If the Client selects Pay 50% Deposit, the remaining approved balance is due seven (7) calendar days before the event. Front Page Portraits™ will provide instructions for paying that balance through a separate secure GoDaddy payment link or invoice. The Client is responsible for completing the balance payment by the due date. The initial event inquiry does not collect card details or authorize Front Page Portraits™ to automatically charge any payment method. No card is saved or charged by this website. Any changes to the agreed price or additional services require separate written confirmation. For events booked seven (7) or fewer calendar days before the event, the full approved price is due at confirmation. If Pay in Full is selected, there is no later balance payment.

2. Services and prints

Services include an on-site operator, event photography, personalized 11 × 14-inch newspaper souvenirs, event-specific newspaper design, on-site printing, setup and breakdown. The number of completed newspapers depends on attendance, guest participation, equipment capacity and conditions; no exact quantity is guaranteed. Additional copies and additional service time may be arranged to accommodate extra prints, subject to availability and written agreement on any charges. Digital images or other options are included only when specifically listed in the confirmed quote.

3. Customer cancellation

Written cancellations received more than 14 calendar days before the scheduled event result in forfeiture of the 50% reservation retainer; additional sums paid are refunded. For cancellations received 14 calendar days or fewer before the event, the full agreed booking price is due. The date of receipt of written cancellation determines which rule applies. Any legally required refund or remedy takes precedence over these provisions.

4. Rescheduling

One rescheduling request received at least 30 calendar days before the original date may be accommodated without an administrative fee, subject to availability. The replacement date must occur within 12 months of the original date. Approved prior payments are applied to that date. Requests inside 30 days are considered individually; where no mutually available date is agreed, the cancellation policy applies. Approved changes in travel, services or event pricing will be confirmed in writing.

5. Venue and equipment

The Client will provide an appropriate, reasonably level and accessible operating area; a standard 110–120V electrical outlet; safe space for staff, equipment and a guest line; and necessary venue permissions and reasonable setup access. Only authorized Front Page Portraits™ staff may operate the equipment. The Client will communicate venue restrictions and support a safe working environment.

6. Weather and uncontrollable events

Front Page Portraits™ may pause operation if severe weather or other hazards make service unsafe. For circumstances beyond either party’s reasonable control that prevent the event, the parties will first attempt a date within 12 months. If no mutually available replacement can be agreed, amounts paid for services not performed will be refunded, less nonrecoverable custom costs approved in writing in advance by the Client. If Front Page Portraits™ cancels for reasons within its control and no acceptable replacement is arranged, the Company will refund payments received.

7. Substantial service interruptions

Front Page Portraits™ will make reasonable efforts to restore interrupted service, extend service time where practical, or offer a proportionate refund for significant services not delivered because of a Company equipment failure. Nothing here waives non-waivable legal protections.

8. Photography and advertising

Photography is part of the newspaper souvenir experience. The event organizer agrees to inform attendees that photographs will be taken. Front Page Portraits™ may use identifiable event photographs, likenesses and personalized newspaper examples in online or printed advertising only with appropriate express permission from each featured adult or the parent or legal guardian of a minor. A booking signature does not grant advertising rights for other guests. A separate, optional promotional photo release is available for participating guests; refusal does not prevent participation in the event experience.

9. Original design and third-party materials

Front Page Portraits™ retains ownership of its original templates, newspaper layouts and branding. Guests may keep and share their souvenir for personal, noncommercial purposes. The Client must have permission to provide any third-party names, photos, trademarks or logos for an approved design.

10. General agreement

The confirmed written quote and this agreement together describe the booked services. Material changes must be agreed in writing. Florida law governs where applicable, and nothing in this agreement limits rights that cannot legally be waived. A submitted inquiry and electronically signed acknowledgment do not themselves confirm availability or make a reservation; written approval and payment are also required.

Agreement version: FPP-EVENT-2026-11-06-v3

The approved amount and secure balance-payment instructions will be sent separately. This website does not save card information or make automatic charges.

Typing your name and checking the boxes below constitutes your electronic signature for these terms.
Before the request is sent, the copy is marked DRAFT. A signed copy includes the acceptance timestamp.
Review your booking details before continuing. We’ll confirm availability and the final price after we receive your request.

Client information, exact services and final prices appear in the written quote and review step.

Advertising use of an identifiable guest photo requires a separate express guest promotional release. Signing an event agreement does not authorize images of other guests.
